Motto: A Vote for
Rosa McAllister-McRae, Is A Vote for Your Child's Future!
I believe in preparing our students to be ready for the 21st
Century in which it is already here, this include students being College and
Career ready, that being said, we need to teach such that the child is able to
soar in any area that they would like.
It doesn't matter when they graduate from HS if they want to work for
their parent's business ( a store),
continue their education, or make
a military move, they will be equipped.
This is not just education, which that is the bigger piece, but this includes
psychologically, physically, and emotionally ready for the challenge, this is a
holistic view point, in which we have to embrace. Everything (even the store clerk) has a
technical piece, we have to prepare our students for every walk of life. That being
said, it's not just the students we have to challenge, we have to challenge the
teachers, the principals, and everybody involved. Because they will have to teach the
students. The principal will have to
know curriculum, scheduling, as well as how to interfere and/or confront
conflict i.e. high school gangs etc. without being a target himself. This can happen with training in Behavior
Modification, How to Deal With Difficult People, etc. The students will have a better chance at
life and being successful if they were both college and career focused.
